Hardware and operating system requirements for USoft 10.1 and 11

There is a nice topic on “Hardware and operating system requirements” for version 9.0, 9.1 and 10.0 https://community.usoft.com/installing-usoft-183/hardware-and-operating-system-requirements-1095?tid=1095&fid=183It would be great if it could be updated with information for USoft 10.1 and later on 11.

Usage outer join in combination with batch parameterset

In USoft V9.1, if we use an Usage outer join in combination with batch parameterset, it looks like the optimizer removes the outer join instruction and executes an inner join, e.g. update p_set par set column_1 = (select     round(nvl(sdurd.duration, adv.value))        from    ops_stage_duration_default sdurd        ,        app_default_values adv        where    par.from_poi_id = sdurd.from_poi_id (+)        and        par.to_poi_id = sdurd.to_poi_id (+)        and        ptpc.from_poi_id = par.from_poi_id         and        adv.name = 'STAGE_DEFAULT_DURATION'        ))Start Benchmark and you’ll see the outer join removed Is this intended behavior?

Serve service framework OpenAPI yaml

Does anyone know if there is a way for a service framework server to serve the generated OpenAPI yaml file? So people can access the server's documentation from a browser?I've tried several variations of the server’s URI, but without success….

Best Practices for Navigating from Overview to Detail Windows

I have a data block that displays records from a specific table. Can anyone tell me how to navigate from this summary window to a more detailed information window where data can be changed?To clarify, I have a sensor summary IW window and want to move from this window to a sensor edit IW window, passing as a parameter the Pk of the current record so that the selected record can be edited.We DO NOT have a USOFT web application.

Adding a default record when a another record is inserted

Anyone here who can show me the right direction to achieve the following ? I try to explain it clearly.  Table Aircraft_types has the columns pattern_id, aircraft_id, version_nr, aircraft_class )When someone insert a new record in this table Aircraft_types, a default record need to be inserted into the same Aircraft_types table. it's important that this new record has the same value for Aircraft_id and pattern_id. the aircraft_class need to be retrieved from the column Classid from the aircraft_pattern based on the new pattern_idand it's also important that the default record doesn't need to be created when there is already a record where pattern_id and aircraft_id are identical.So for examplesomene enters the recordpattern_id = BE9M and aircraft_id = P47.The default record that has to be created ispattern_id  = BE9M aircraft_id = BE9Maircraft_class = must contain the value of this select : select aircraft_class from aircraft_patterns where pattern_id = 'BE9M' I've tried a constraint a

Export SFW server metadata (XML) in UDeliver?

Anyone know if there is a way to export the XML of a Service Framework server in UDeliver? Similar to the way you can export the XML of the Definer with the ‘Export metadata’ action?It would be nice to have a snapshot of the SFW servers as they were at the time of creating the release, so you can restore or inspect that if needed. I suppose yo u could export the relevant tables using an XML.Export(), but I don’t see an easier way.

Execute UDeliver rules service script in UBelndIt

I’m trying to run a database script, which is created in UDeliver, using UBlendIt.The upgrade script in UDeliver contains multiple SQL statements, so the resulting URE script looks something like:INSERT INTO ….;UPDATE …;UBlendIt has the pc:SqlStatement directive, but that requires child elements which are not created by UDeliver. And the sql:SqlStmnt function only accepts a single SQL statement, not a script containing multiple statements.Short of creating separate upgrade scripts, each with one SQL statement, anyone know of a way to run the multiple-statement script generated by UDeliver?

xsl:strip-space in XSL Stylesheet component

Using xsl:strip-space in an XSL Stylesheet component (USoft 10.1.1B) results in this error:White space cannot be stripped from input documents that have already been loaded. Provide the input document as an XmlReader instead. Anyone know an easy way to work around this? Thanks!

xml error transformation

Using RulesEngine.GetLastCaughtErrorsAsXML() gets you the errors in xml format. It looks like you can get those messages with various content (of course) and elements. Would there be any xsd available on these messages so we can write robust transformations on those (e.g. to return to an api call)?

SQL Server "Connection is busy with results for another command"

We occasionally have locking issues with our SQL Server 2019 database from a USoft 10.0.1 rules service.When the load on the system is high, this error occurs sometimes:HResult of 0x80004005 (-2147467259) returnedError Source: Microsoft OLE DB Driver 19 for SQL ServerError Description: Connection is busy with results for another commandMost suggestions seem to centre on using multiple database connection or using MARS.Does anyone know if either of these are supported by U10.0 (or U10.1)?

Upgrade from 10.0.1 to 10.1.1

Can we upgrade the USoft ‘runtime’ on our application servers from 10.0.1 to 10.1.1 without having to redeploy the existing applications (which were created in 10.0.1)? Or will that cause problems?

Debugging technical error 60101

While load testing a new application (processing approx. 40 messages per second), we occasionally get a 60101 technical error:Technical error (code 60101).Contact your system administrator.No additional info is provided, and due to the large volume of messages being processed, profiling the rules service is not really an option.Does anyone have any suggestions about finding the root cause of this error?FYI: running USoft 10.0.1J with SQL Server 2019.

Implementing callbacks in the Service Definer

Anyone know how to implement callbacks in the Service Definer?We are using a Kafka producer in the Service Framework, which uses asynchronous calls and a callback interface to handle events (see Callback (kafka 2.6.0 API) (apache.org)).I have tried using Lambda expressions, but it seems those are not supported in the Service Definer.

Custom rules service logging

We are creating custom logs in some of our rules services.Currently, that is done using the StreamWriter class in a C# component, which can cause problems if multiple engines are trying to write to the same log file at the same time.Anyone have any recommendations for a logging framework which we can use in a rules service?

How to create an "application modal" dialog?

I have a dialog with property “modal” set to “yes” in “Window (Definition Shell)”.It's opened via a button action from a MDI Child window.Modal property seems to only set the window to be in “parent modal” state, but I still can interact with all the controls outside the window that the dialog was opened from.How do I set it to an “application modal”, so the whole application is blocked?

Are there official USoft guidelines for upgrading to a new patch. Community content seems to focus on upgrading from one version to another, using the upgrade tool. My question is about procedure and steps to upgrade from 10.0.1.A to 10.0.1.B for example.

When, with USoft 9.1.1J, the OTS_CSV_UTIL.ToXmlImport function the comma and decimal point characters are removed from the output. Is this by design?

Server secrets in config.xml using environment variables

Hello, We started setting up the service definer servers in containers.We want to use a Key Vault to store the passwords, and the CICD pipeline will send the required passwords to the container as Linux environment variables.Therefore, we want to replace some properties of the server config.xml with the value of the Linux environment variables when the container is started.One option is to create a bash script to replace the properties with the environment variables before the server starts, but do you know an easier way to use those environment variables in the server configuration? Many thanks,Albert

Web Designer Cannot drag GridControl

Hi,In the Web Designer in USoft 10.0.1G I try do drag a GridControl from the Controls tree onto a Page element. However, the forbidden sign is shown blocking the drag operation. What should be the correct way to add the GridControl? By the way, the same applies to the GridEditControl and the TabularGridControl.Note, I finally managed to use a work-around, that is go to a predefined Info Page and copy + paste a GroupControl containing a GridControl.Thank youy
