Updating interface components

We are using interface components (RDMI) in USoft 10.1.1D.If a new method is added to a component, it is sometimes necessary to toggle the ‘Interface’ checkbox so the new method shows up in the provided interface object (in the consumer, but also in the provider itself). And yes 😉, I did do a ‘Check’ of the component in the provider to generate the new methods and parameters.Is this a known bug?

Delete from SQL Server without UPDLOCK

Hiya,We use a scheduled clean-up task to delete data from a SQL Server 2019 table when it has become obsolete. During high loads, we regularly run into time-outs in a second process which is attempting to insert data into the same table.In the SQL Profiler screenshot below, you can see clean-up process 73 performing a ‘SELECT FOR DELETE’ statement. That uses the UPDLOCK hint, which result in a lock escalation on (a page beneath) the IN_ICM_EVENT table .Process 69 (which is actually a second rules service) attempts to do an insert into that same table, but times out after 10 seconds due to the lock held by the clean-up.We know the data being deleted is not going to be updated (or even selected) by any other process, so we don’t need the lock held by the clean-up process.Does anyone know if there is any way to force the rules engine to forego that lock?

SQL Server lock on T_EVENT

I have a batch job which needs to run as soon as the rules service starts. Datetimestamp in milliseconds

We’re working on a product where timing is quite important. We therefor would like to store a Datetime stamp up to a thousands of a second. I’ve tried multiple solutions manipulating the IO-format of the domain I’m storing the datetimestamp in unfortunately without any luck. The IO formats I tried so far are: YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS.FF3 YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS.NNN YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS.SSSthey each store the datetime stamps without the milliseconds.Even when manually inserting the date via a query in USoft Application, it inserts it without the milliseconds, also shown below      Running that exact query directly on the database, and the milliseconds get inserted      Is there an easy way to work with milliseconds?

Create extended data model or data dictionary

Before I reinvent the wheel ;-)… Is there a way to either:add the table comments and column help text to a data model generated by the Definer/TeamWork, or generate a data dictionary from the Definer tables?Thanks!

Role Select Restricting Condition not applied in a Job

I have a implemented a Role Select Restricting Condition on a table which limits the records that are returned when performing a select on that table.This works fine but when I execute a Job that executes a select on that table the Resticting Condition is not applied and all table records are returned.This seems like incorrect behaviour to me.Is this by design?

Imported Web Benchmark testcases do not work

Hello,I have recorded some tests of which one invoked other parameterised tests. However when I export these test to a file and import them again they are not working anymore. Extend a class in Service Framework

This is a really a different way of asking what I asked in I want to create a custom Formatter, which means extending the java.util.logging.Formatter abstract class.Anyone know if there is a way to do this in the Service Framework?

I’m trying to create a custom log format in the Service Framework - specifically, include a GUID in each log line.I *think* I can do that using a formatter (java.util.logging.Formatter), but can't figure out how that would work. Are there any examples around I could steal?Thanks!

Create a text file containing the release number in UDeliver

I’m sure there’s an easy way to do this, but am not quite sure how 😐…I would like to create a text file in UDeliver which contains the release number of the release. So far, I added an attachment to the release, and was hoping to use the “Mark up text file” action to insert the release number into that, but I think that action only inserts the placeholder itself, not the value of placeholder.Anyone have any good tips? Thanks!

UDeliver action versions in USoft 10.0

In UDeliver 10.0, all actions still have version 9.1 (both in an upgraded repo and in a ‘fresh’ U10.0 repo). Is that intentional?

Set custom header in REST response

In a REST service built in the Service Definer, I’d like to dynamically set a custom HTTP response header.I can specify the header in the server’s response headers, but can’t figure out how to set its value in the REST service method Java code.Anyone have any ideas?

USoft 10 Authorizer roles documentation

Is there any documentation about the new roles in the USoft 10 Authorizer?I’m trying to authorise developers for the Definer, with TeamWork permissions. Role USD_DEVELOPER (“Developer and TeamWork for Developers”) would seem the obvious choice, but then I still get this error:      No or limited SELECT rights on table "T_BUSINESS_PROCESS_STEP"when accessing business processes.Adding those users to the USD_TWRK role also doesn’t fix the problem. Adding them to the USD_REP_OWNER does, but that seems a little extreme...P.S. The same questions arises when configuring UDELIVER and USTESTER and...

USoft 10 "MSOLEDBSQL driver not found, fallback to SQLNCLI11" warning

After the upgrade from USoft 9.1 to USoft 10, we get this warning message (several times) whenever we start a component (Definer, Application, etc.):MSOLEDBSQL driver not found, fallback to SQLNCLI11HResult of 1 returnedThis did not happen with USoft 9.1 using the same SQL Server 2016 database.Anyone know what the cause might be?

User XXX not registered for application USAUTH after upgrade to USoft 10

Hiya,After upgrading a USoft 9.1 (9.1.1J) application to USoft 10.0 (10.0.1A), I get this error when starting the Authorizer:User "XXX" not registered for application "USAUTH".where XXX is the owner of the database objects.The upgrade seems to have succeeded, despite some “MSOLEDBSQL driver not found, fallback to SQLNCLI11” warnings, and the data in the database appears correct.Starting any other item in the same project predictably results in a similar error.Anyone have any idea what the issue might be?Thanks!

How do I delete a row using UDB library?
